Lemon Curd Tart: Baking Made Easy

These sweet and tangy mini desserts brighten up even the gloomiest of days! The creamy lemon tart recipe takes advantage of peak lemon season. It’s a Go-To-Recipe for functions and parties! The lemon curd tastes beautiful and creamy. A lots of zing is present due to the citrus.

Skill Level: Easy
Serving: 4–5 fillings

Ingredients:

  • Butter: 100g
  • Breakfast sugar: 100g
  • Egg yolk: 100g (6eggs approx)
  • Lemon juice: 1 lemon

Instructions:

  1. Half fill a saucepan with water and place it on high heat. Once water begins to boil reduce heat to low.
  2. In a separate bowl, add all of the ingredients.
  3. Now place the bowl over saucepan.
  4. Start whisking the curd and continue for 10 min or until the curd become thick (looks like loose pudding).
  5. Now remove the bowl from heat and refrigerate the curd for at-least 1 hr. The curd can be utilised further for upto 10 days.
  6. After 1hr, mix the curd little then empty the bowl in piping bag and start filling your crust.
  7. For the crust of the tart refer to the sweet crust recipe.
